As founders of Positive Path USA, a non-profit organization, our mission is clear: We wholeheartedly endorse legal immigration as vital for continued U.S. cultural and economic growth, believing the talent and dedication of legal immigrants are foundational to the nation's success.
The Challenge We Must Overcome
The Hispanic/Latino community is deeply concerned about the mass media's disproportionate focus on illegal border crossings. This narrative creates a damaging, false stereotype, wrongly portraying our community as uneducated or inferior immigrants.
This destructive perception has severe consequences:
Diminished Recognition: Our significant cultural and economic contributions to the U.S. are undervalued.
Limited Employment Opportunities: The persistent, false link between Hispanics/Latinos and illegality restricts fair employment access for qualified individuals.
Hurt Educational Opportunities: Educational pursuits are diminished when this reductive, negative lens unfairly categorizes Hispanics/Latinos.
Our Non-Profit Commitment
Positive Path USA, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is dedicated to changing the harmful perception of the Hispanic/Latino community. We work to ensure their past and present contributions to the USA are fully recognized, respected, and celebrated nationwide.
